The owner was very helpful and can organize trips to historical sites, nile cruises and other towns in Egyp at very competetive prices. There is a lot of shopping at walking distance and if you are looking for something you are unable to find, the owner can direct you. Room standard is very good for the price you pay. The hostel can arrange transport to and from the airport and it is cheaper than taxi. The hostel is comfortable walking distance from the Egyptian Museum.
Traffic noice from the street outside.

Stayed at the Vienna Hostel for a few nights.Everything was great, definitely good value for your money, very clean. Entrance was a bit shabby but inside its great, especially the room which is most important. The owner Ramadan is extremely helpful with providing tours and taxis at a reasonable price. He even picked us up at the airport, no charge which was extremely helpful because everyone approaches you it can be very overwhelming if you've had a long flight. Location is great, very close to Egyptian Museum-5 min walk.Train station is a 39 min walk away, 10 min by cab. Ramadan recommended a restaurant called Kazaz which has amazing Egyptian Cuisine at incredible prices. We ate almost all meals there!

We have had an excellent stay at the Hostel Vienna. Mr Ramadan (the owner), arranged everything that we needed, including our entire travel from Cairo-Luxor-Aswan with a 2 n + 2 d cruise on the 5 star ship "Renaissance". The entire pricing was very reasonable. He also provided us blankets for our train travel and permitted us to carry his copy of the Lonely Planet. The breakfast provided was adequate and the kitchen was clean. Great central ocation - close to the museum and several eateries and shops. Mr. Ramadan has also taken care of our travel to Taba border from where we will travel to Israel. He also took care of our itinerary within Cairo and Giza. We shall be staying at the same place on our return.
Everything excellent

The manager Ramadan and staff are very friendly and helpful. They organized us a trip to the Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis and Sakkara. We could not go to Hurghada because the bus is only at 3pm and we booked a flight back to Cairo We went back to Vienna and they welcomed us back. They organized us a night at another place and the following night with them. One thing for sure it is good to know you can rely on someone in a foreign country. I would definitely recommend Vienna.

It was a pleasure to stay here. All staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Advised us on everything we needed, trips, restaurants, and even offered free pick up service from airport. Location is excellent and central too. They have there own drivers and tours so you don't need to get ripped off by locals. Rooms a good size and clean.
